Hi, I’m Rich Carr from Meadia Heights Golf Club in Lancaster, PA on behalf of Expert Village. I’m going to show you a couple of things about tending the pin for your playing partner. One thing that you definitely want to do, as you can see my shadow here is you want to make sure that your shadow is definitely out of the line of the player. The second thing that you would want to do is make sure that the pin is kinda loose so that you can pull it out and not cause your playing partner a 2-stroke penalty. Thirdly you can see, that I’m standing well away from the hole and also where the player is least likely to end up for a second putt. He’s gonna go ahead and play here. Now I have the pin out, what I’m going to make sure that I do not do in this case is lay the pin there. What you want to do is take the pin, place it well away from the line of play and complete the hole.
